Dwayne Johnson all suited up as Black Adam

"The Rock" Johnson is all suited up and ready to hit the big screen as "Black Adam" (Teth/Theo-Adam), October 2022 in DC's Extended Universe (DCEU). The supervillain/antihero with incredible superpowers from the gods is DC's next character to be unleashed on the big screen.

The Movie


Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods was once a hero until his powers corrupted him. Then imprisoned Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.


Black Adam's powers are given to him by Egyptian Gods. Able to fly, bullets & explosion proof, invulnerability, super speed, superhuman hearing, healing factor and magic. Super strength he can rip through stone walls, bend steel and can channel lightning blasts from his fists.

The film’s producers were Beau Flynn, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia, with Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter, Chris Pan, Eric McLeod, and Geoff Johns and Scott Sheldon.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Black Adam's June test screening includes "a new post-credits scene introducing a new element to Johnson's place in the DC Universe." No other details regarding this post-credit scene have been released.
