The Munsters Reboot
Currently, production is wrapping up and it's hoped to be released on Halloween 2022, released date TBC. The movie is set to be released by Universal Pictures theatrically while simultaneously being streamed on the streaming service Peacock.
The cast includes Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munsters and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster. One of the original cast members Pat Priest is set to star, but unsure of her exact role.
The new movie seems a bit different compared to the original series with Marilyn and Eddie Munster characters not included in the cast list.
The Original Munsters Series
The Munsters first aired back on September 24th 1964. The premise of the series is of an odd-looking family with strange tastes that considers itself to be an average American family.
Starring Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster, Yvonne De Carlo as Lily Munster and Al Lewis as Grandpa. With Butch Patrick as Eddie Munster, Beverley Owen (1964) and Pat Priest (1964–66) as Marilyn Munster.
The series lasted two seasons with a total of 70 episodes.
